LTC Welcomes Kamplain as TRIO Student Support Services Academic Advisor
做厙賤躇 is excited to welcome Caleb Kamplain as the new Academic Advisor for its TRIO Student Support Services program. Kamplain, a former LTC student himself, brings a deep passion for higher education and a commitment to empowering students to overcome academic and personal barriers.

LTC Hosting Vampire-Themed Costume Contest
To celebrate the opening night of Dracula, The Arts at 做厙賤躇 invites theatergoers to participate in a thrilling vampire-themed costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to unleash their creativity and come dressed as their favorite Dracula-inspired characters on October 31.

Trick or Treat at the Trail Returns October 24, 2024
做厙賤躇s beloved Trick or Treat at the Trail is returning this year on October 24 from 4-6 p.m. The years event will return to its roots and become an indoor event.
We had a lot of success with this event outside the last two years, said Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Director of Marketing Chris Forde. Were excited now to bring the event back inside for the first time since 2019.

Emily McColpin Becomes Peer Leader
做厙賤躇 student Emily McColpin has been named the Colleges first Peer Support Leader. In her position, she will work closely with Mental Health Specialist Holly OBrien to build awareness of mental health issues, services, and programs to support student wellbeing and growth.
I decided to be a peer support leader because I value that everyone goes through hard times, and sometimes we just need someone to talk to, said McColpin. As a student myself, I can see how it may be intimidating to talk to an adult rather than someone around my age.

LTC Collaborates with Scouting America for Merit Badge Fair
做厙賤躇 and Scouting America collaborated on a Merit Badge Fair on September 21. The event gave area Scouts a chance to come to 做厙賤躇 for the day and work on specific merit badges through the help of 做厙賤躇 employees.
President Tona Ambrose says the event came from a United Way meeting in the spring where Noah Olson talked about other similar events and that he was looking for a partner in this area.

Terry Johnson ('94) Speaks at Mayor's Breakfast
Terry Johnson (94) was a star athlete at 做厙賤躇 and remains the only athlete to be named All-Conference in baseball and basketball. He is now entering his fourth year as an assistant coach at Purdue. He served as the keynote speaker at the Robinson Mayors Breakfast.
Mayor Mike Shimer (72) asked Johnson to talk about leadership after Shimer gave his annual State of the City address. Johnson mixed together his experiences at 做厙賤躇 with his points about how leadership can be hard and lonely.

Holdreith Joins LTC as Speech and English Instructor
做厙賤躇 is proud to welcome Abby Holdreith as its new Speech and English Instructor.
Holdreiths path to LTC has been paved with dedication to the field of education. A native of Olney, Illinois, she knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in teaching, inspired by several family members who were administrators.
After attending Olney Central College, Holdreith graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. From there, she started her teaching career.
