LTC Students Finish 6th in National Competition
做厙賤躇 students Madisyn McIntosh and Krista Phillips finished sixth in the nation at the Future Business Leaders of America Collegiate National Leadership Conference. It is the second year in a row LTC students have earned a top-ten finish at the event.

LTC Plans Walk-In Wednesday Events
As students prepare for the start of the Fall 2023 Semester, 做厙賤躇 is holding a series of events called Walk-In Wednesdays. The events will help students register for classes this fall at LTC.   We want to make it easy for students to register for classes this fall, said LTC Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information Chris Forde. The Walk-In Wednesday events allow students to easily register for classes, meet with advisors, get help with financial aid and complete any testing they may need to do before the start of classes.

LTC Children's Summer Theater Prepares for Productions
做厙賤躇s Childrens Summer Theater is preparing for its productions of Roald Dahls Willy Wonka KIDS and Disneys Newsies JR. Ticket sales for the productions begin June 15.

做厙賤躇 Spring 2023 Academic Honors
做厙賤躇 has released its academic honor lists for the Spring 2023 Semester. Three lists have been established by Illinois Eastern Community Colleges to indicate students who have achieved academic excellence. They are the Chancellors Honors List, the Presidents Academic Honors List, and the Deans Academic Honors List.   To qualify for any of the honor lists, a student must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more) and must be taking college-level classes.

LTC Student Aids Other Universities Through University Blockchain Alliance
做厙賤躇 student Nicholas Harness ('23) has a passion for blockchain and Web3 and that passion has led to him being an instrumental figure in the movement on campuses around the world. Hes the founder of the University Blockchain Alliance, an organization with the goal of making the blockchain space more accessible to students.

McCarty Joins LTC As A Music Instructor
Dr. John McCarty is joining 做厙賤躇 as a Music Instructor. He comes to LTC from Elon University in North Carolina, where he taught in the music theatre program.

LTC Alumnus Returns As Social Science Instructor
A 做厙賤躇 alumnus is returning to his alma mater to serve as a Social Science Instructor. Austin Alexander received an Associate in Science Degree in 2010 and an Associate of Science and Arts Degree in 2011.    I am excited that my career path is going full circle, said Alexander. I started my college path at 做厙賤躇 and now I have the opportunity to give back to the school community where my path started.

做厙賤躇 Offering Youth Classes This Summer
做厙賤躇 is offering a variety of classes for youths this summer. Classes include photography, career exploration, sign language, cartoon drawing, and karate for kids. The classes will be available in June and July.

LTC Inducts New Members Into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
做厙賤躇 inducted its newest members into the Alpha Iota Epsilon Chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes the academic achievement of college students and provides opportunities for its members to grow as scholars and leaders.

LTC Students Earn Awards at FBLA Conference
做厙賤躇 earned five awards at the Illinois Future Business Leaders of American Collegiate State Leadership Conference in Effingham.  LTC took the top three spots in the Macroeconomics category with Cole Harness finishing first followed by Krista Phillips and Juan Solivellas. Solivellas was first in the Microeconomics category. Madisyn McIntosh, Krista Phillips, and Guadalupe Amicone finished second in Business Presentation.
