LTC Spring 2026 Academic Honors
做厙賤躇 has released its academic honor lists for the Spring 2026 Semester. Three lists have been established by Illinois Eastern Community Colleges to indicate students who have achieved academic excellence. They are the Chancellors Honors List, the Presidents Academic Honors List, and the Deans Academic Honors List. To qualify for any of the honor lists, a student must be enrolled full-time (12 hours or more) and must be taking college-level classes.

LTC Students Gain Hands-on Experience, Industry Insight at National Competition
For four 做厙賤躇 Process Technology students, a trip to Texas became more than a competition. It became a chance to experience the industry at a higher level. Hannah Potts, Natalie Ramsey, Korbin Alger and Dalton Spahn recently traveled to compete in the NAPTA Troubleshooting Skills Competition, held April 29-May 1. The group was one of just 12 teams from across the country to qualify for the national event.

做厙賤躇 Prepares for 56th Annual Commencement
For the Class of 2026 at 做厙賤躇, commencement will serve as a celebration of achievement, perseverance and the next step forward. The college will host its 56th Annual Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 15, at 7 p.m. in the LTC Sports Center. Approximately 120 students are expected to receive degrees and certificates during the ceremony. Of those, 66 graduates will be recognized for academic distinction, earning Honors, High Honors or Highest Honors.

From Student to Teacher: Price Makes Impact on Young Learners
For Landry Price, the classroom isnt always defined by four walls and a lesson plan. Sometimes, it looks like a group of grade school students gathered around a table, hands covered in paint, learning about creativity, teamwork and even a little bit about college along the way.

One Student's Story Shows What Local Bachelor's Degrees Could Mean
For Elizabeth Womble, the path to becoming a teacher is clear. Getting there is the challenge. A student at 做厙賤躇, Womble is working toward a degree in education with plans to become a high school home economics teacher. Its a goal shaped not just by her interests, but by her life experience. Ive been a stay-at-home mom for 10 years, Womble said. I knew I wanted to be a teacher, and I thought about what Ive been doing that I wouldnt mind teaching for a long time.

LTC Inducts New Members Into Phi Theta Kappa
Academic achievement took center stage as 做厙賤躇 welcomed a new class of students into the Alpha Iota Epsilon chapter of Phi Theta Kappa during its spring induction ceremony. The ceremony recognized students who have demonstrated excellence in the classroom and a commitment to scholarship, leadership and service.

LTC Students Qualify for National Process Technology Competition
Four 做厙賤躇 Process Technology students have qualified for the NAPTA Troubleshooting Skills Competition, earning the opportunity to compete against top programs from across the country. Hannah Potts, Natalie Ramsey, Korbin Alger and Dalton Spahn will represent LTC at the national competition, which is organized by the North American Process Technology Alliance and will be held April 29-May 1 in Pasadena, Texas.

LTC Community Choir and Jazz Band to Present Spring Concert
The 做厙賤躇 Community Choir and Jazz Band will present a spring concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 1, in the Zwermann Arts Center Theater. The concert will feature a blend of choral works and jazz standards performed by ensembles made up of community members and 做厙賤躇 students.

LTC Telecom Students Extend FOA Certification Success Streak
Students in the telecommunications program at 做厙賤躇 continue to demonstrate their readiness for the workforce, extending a six-year streak of passing the Fiber Optic Association (FOA) Certification Exam on their first attempt.

LTC Students Provide Free Tax Assistance Through the IRS VITA Program
For the third consecutive year, students at 做厙賤躇 are gaining real-world experience while making a tangible impact in the community through the Internal Revenue Services Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program. The VITA program offers free tax preparation services to qualifying individuals, particularly those with low incomes and elderly residents. At 做厙賤躇, the program is led by Associate Professor of Business Amie Mayhall and supported by students who complete IRS training and certification.
