Business Students Learn About Big Things
做厙賤躇 business students had the opportunity to learn about a venture thats made the Guinness Book of World Records and another thats headed by an LTC alumnus. The students took separate trips that took them to visit Casey, Ill. to learn about their Big Things in a Small Town and to The Woods Event Center located between Robinson and Oblong.

All Four IECC Colleges Rank Among the Top Community Colleges in Illinois and the Nation
Illinois Eastern Community Colleges received high marks from Intelligent.com, as the education research website ranked Frontier Community, Lincoln Trail, Olney Central and Wabash Valley among the top community colleges in Illinois and the nation.

OCC is an Aspen Prize Top 150 U.S. Community College
The Aspen Institute has named Olney Central College as one of the 150 institutions eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence, the nation's signature recognition of high achievement and performance among two-year colleges. The institutions selected for this honor stand out among more than 1,000 community colleges nationwide as having high and improving levels of student success as well as equitable outcomes for Black and Hispanic students and those from lower-income backgrounds.

OCC Meet the Knights Event October 23
Olney Central College will host its annual Meet the Knights event at 6 p.m. on Monday, October 23. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Blue and Lady Knights as they prepare to kick off the 2023-2024 basketball season. The evening includes player introductions and court time for both the Blue and Lady Knights. An autograph session with the players will follow. Admission will be a Gatorade, Powerade, or any sports drink.

Trunk or Treat at the Trail set for October 26
One of 做厙賤躇s most popular community events is returning this year. Trunk or Treat at the Trail takes place from 4-6 p.m. on October 26, 2023, in the large parking lot at the College. This is a really fun event for everybody, says 做厙賤躇 Coordinator of Marketing and Public Information Chris Forde. We really enjoy providing the community a safe and fun place where families can trick or treat.

LTC Plans Senior Day Event
做厙賤躇 will welcome high school seniors to the College on October 25. The Senior Day event will give seniors more information about LTC. We want to make this a fun and engaging event for our area seniors, says Illinois Eastern Community Colleges Director of Enrollment Management Andrea Loll. Were planning some unique activities to showcase how 做厙賤躇 is a great choice for area students.

OCC Jazz and Concert Bands to Perform October 25
The Olney Central College Music Departments Jazz and Concert bands will present their fall concert at 7 p.m. on Oct. 25 in the Dr. John D. Stull Performing Arts Center. The bands are under the direction of OCC Director of Bands Wade Baker. The Concert Band will perform pieces by renowned composers Richard Saucedo, Frank Ticheli and Brian Balmages while the Jazz Band will dazzle the audience with selections from the legendary Duke Ellington.
